Natasha is an experienced strategist and communicator with more than 20 years’ experience in specialised nutrition. She has enjoyed a varied career in UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand working in both early life nutrition and medical nutrition.
She is a scientist by background with a PhD in Biology and Biochemistry. She has held executive positions in Marketing, Sales, Medical, Public & Corporate Affairs and Comms as well as non-executive positions in a task force and was a previous Board member of the BSNA.
Natasha runs her own consultancy helping businesses and other organisations with their growth strategies. She is also a stand-up comedian, facilitator and public speaker.
Natasha has been the Chair of the BSNA Board for one year.
Cath joined BSNA as Public Affairs Manager in February 2019. Cath has over twenty years' experience in policy, communications and public affairs, having worked in Parliament, a health charity, local government and at a health and social care consultancy.
Martha joined the company in 2016 as the Scientific and Regulatory Executive and has since progressed to the role of Medical Nutrition and Policy Manager. She has a BSc in Nutrition from the University of Surrey and prior to joining BSNA she held roles at WeightWatchers and the Medical Research Council’s Human Nutrition Research.
Rebecca joined BSNA in January 2024. She is a Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) with 10 years’ experience within the Food Industry across the out of home sector, retail and food manufacturing. Alongside her 1st Class degree in Food & Human Nutrition, she also has a PG Cert in Sports & Exercise Nutrition.
Claire Joined BSNA as Executive Assistant in July 2022. She has an MA (Dist) Journalism and Communications from the University of Hertfordshire. With over 13 years' experience in various business support roles, Claire looks after all administration at BSNA.

Olivier Lechanoine
BSNA Chair - Vice President of Specialised Nutrition for Northern Europe (Danone)
Olivier is Vice President for Danone Specialised Nutrition for Northern Europe. Over the last 10+ years, Oliver has held various commercial roles for Danone Specialised Nutrition, based in UK, Netherlands and Belgium, with both local and global responsibilities. Previously, Olivier has also held commercial roles in consumer care and medical devices for Johnson & Johnson.
Abdul assumed the role of Head of Nutrition at Reckitt/Mead Johnson in February 2024, bringing over a decade of extensive experience in the medical nutrition industry. His journey began in 2015, traversing various sales, marketing, and commercial positions at Nestle Health Science and Nutricia respectively. Prior to this, he worked as a research engineer for four years after completing his undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the fields of Medical Engineering and Business Management. He was recently appointed vice-chair of the board in January 2026.
Christian Balmes
Mike is a B Braun veteran of 24 years and has spent his career in a variety of commercial roles at B Braun Medical UK and was previously the Head of Sales & Marketing for Clinical Nutrition & Pharma from 2012 – 2018.
He now has a wider remit across B Braun, as Head of Value & Access, which includes responsibilities for Government Affairs & Market Access. He is also Chair of both the ABHI Commercial Policy Group and Ready to use (RTU) Group of Medicines UK.
Mohamed is Head of Medical Scientific and Regulatory Affairs at Nestle Nutrition UK&I. He is a licensed Physician with a post graduate Diploma from the UK in Clinical Nutrition. He has over 30 years of extensive, broad based pharmaceutical, FMCG & Consumer Medical Affairs and R&D experience in multinational companies, including Pfizer Inc; Wyeth Pharmaceuticals & Wyeth Nutrition; and, Nestle Nutrition.
Mikko was appointed Managing Director of Fresenius Kabi Limited UK and Ireland, and Calea UK Limited in 2022, following an 8-year stint as Managing Director of Fresenius Kabi South Africa and an earlier career in Finance within the Fresenius group. He has subsequently taken on additional responsibility for Pharma and Nutrition in the Nordic and Baltic regions of the Fresenius Kabi group. The organisation offers a complex product and service portfolio including clinical nutrition, intravenously administered drugs, infusion therapy, biosimilars, medical devices, transfusion medicine, cell therapies and homecare services.
Clare leads the UK and Ireland Nutrition and OPAT Homecare business for Baxter. Baxter is a global medical device and pharmaceutical company who for 90 years have built a portfolio of technologies and services now available in more than 100 countries.
She has worked for over 25 years in nutrition sales and marketing roles across commercial medical/Pharma and FMCG organisations. She has extensive direct line management and business development/innovation experience and has a huge passion for coaching and mentorship.
