FREE Webinar Series for Dietitians: Understanding Parenteral Nutrition
BSNA is hosting a three-part educational webinar series designed specifically for dietitians with limited or no experience of parenteral nutrition (PN), exploring the fundamentals and clinical application of PN with the aim to provide a greater understanding of PN; what it is, why it is used, by whom, how and when. Delivered by experts in the field, this series will equip you with essential knowledge and confidence in managing PN as part of multidisciplinary care.

More information on the sessions:
Session 1 is taking place on Thursday 20 November 13.00-13.45 and will provide an overview of the different routes of feeding and product types used, highlights where parenteral nutrition sits within the nutrition support continuum and explores the indications for parenteral nutrition.
Session 2 will take place on Thursday 27 November 13.00-13.45 and will explain the licensing and preparation of parenteral nutrition, explore the differences between standard and bespoke parenteral nutrition, cover nutritional and fluid requirements and address refeeding syndrome.
Session 3 will take place on Thursday 4 December 13.00-13.45 and will provide an overview of how parenteral nutrition is administered, explore the monitoring of a patient on parenteral nutrition, and consider potential complications from parenteral nutrition.
