BSNA are pleased to share the animation "From Hospital to Home with Parenteral Nutrition" from from Medical Nutrition International (MNI) Industry.

The purpose of this video is to raise awareness on the use of parenteral nutrition at home and to show the steps taken in the path from hospital to home with parenteral nutrition.

The video describes who and why patients can be prescribed home parenteral nutrition (HPN), how the patient or the carer are trained on the safe use of HPN and the importance to adhere to strict hygiene standards at all times. It also explains the role of a multi-disciplinary team, the regular monitoring with the healthcare professionals and it emphasizes that any question or doubt the patient or carer might have, shall be addressed to the healthcare professionals.
