BAPEN 2019 Annual Conference

The BAPEN 2019 Annual Conference took place on 26 and 27 November in Belfast, with a focus on malnutrition matters.

The 2019 conference saw a 25% upsurge in delegate numbers and a varied programme. Topics included:

• Nutrition support in infants and children
• Assessment/Early Management of the patient with acute surgical Intestinal failure
• COPD – the role of nutrition across the continuum of disease
• Discharging a patient on HPN
• Delivering Person-Centred Care - understanding the patient’s perspective
